Profound. It's hard to add a comment when I'm just listening and saying "Yes, yes.. .yes..".

Sometimes, when stuck for a comment, I add a comment from my view as a Roman Catholic convert of forty years.

Radical wokeness and feminism have taken over the RCC since 2019 in a way which has beem almost unobserved and unopposed, yet, been a thorough coup. Catholic "conservatives" - ie, a small minority of bishops, clergy and faithful - have been utterly blindsided and are "fighting yesterday's war" (as per @4:00). They are up in arms about fringe issues, which are demonstrably wrong, such as trans and homesexual concessions, but won't say anything about the push for further domination of the church by women. There's a bit of a debate about women's ordination, but that is really a distraction, as it will never happen. OTOH, feminist activists in the laity and some religious orders (all dying out, btw) have already dominated parishes, diocesan councils, and now national councils and Vatican synods. They use this dominance to forever claim "victim" status, literally claiming to be "marginalised" in church declarations, and calling for "a voice" and representation - which then has our bishops distracted by providing ever more concessions, as if the all-male clergy is a man-made oppression (rather than from Christ), which demands compensation for women - ie. a p;ower structure of lay women parallel to the male clergy structure.

The documents always refer about male "power" (bad) but female "leadership" (good)... LOL! ... Yah...

The two "Synods on Synodality" (2023 and coming up in 2024) are actually about more power to women. There is no mention of the issues which concerned Catholics have mentioned for decades, and continue to be concerned about - particularly the desertion of the faith by children, the desacrilisation of the liturgy, the frequency of divorce, etc. As per the video, the destruction of fatherhood, in both black and white communities, is NEVER mentioned in RCC circles. The only mentions of men and fathers just echo our anti-male society.

The above can be clarified with my sincere respect for the many Catholic women who have endorsed the Church's traditional position on female ordination, and say that as women in the church they have never felt under-appreciated or lacking a role. Sadly, these women and their submissions are excluded from all discussions.

Relating this to the video. In my forty years as an RCC I have seen divisions over liturgy and church politics, and it has taken the traditional form of "progressive" vs. "conservative" (somewhat like the traditional battle lines mentioned in the video), but the last five years have been something entirely new and seem to have come out of nowhere. Albeit, the radical feminists and trans/homosexual activists in the universities, diocesan administration, Vatican curia, etc...have been preparing it for much longer.

Sadly, Pope Francis and the Vatican have promoted it, while also condemning and ridiculing "conservatives" - particularly American conservatives, who are most capable to oppose it, along with the Africans church.

(btw, I've got Baskerville's books, and look forward to reading them when I have time. As a businessman in his 60s, I've got to focus on steering my business to safety in the impending doom of Western civilisation).

What you say about the RCC has equivalents not only in the Protestant and other churches but in all institutions of the West. I hope when you do manage to read my books that you will post reviews on Amazon, especially because you write so well and hit the essential points.

That's a timely reminder to read your books! I'm taking some time out from business over the next week, so I'll pack the two books of yours which I have. My reading list is long, but your books are at the top because your perspective and ability is (most unfortunately!) almost unique.

I'm sure you are aware of Janice Fiamengo. When I wrote "almost" unique she was the exception I was thinking of! I'll pack "Sons of Feminism" as well. :) . Rod Dreher is another.

I won't forget to review on Amazon, soon.

I quote Janice quite a lot in my new book and am quite flattered to be mentioned with her in the same breath.

Was it a coup or did conservatives run away again?

Precisely. That is what I suggest in the book. In fact, it is a major theme of the book. Clearly, it was both.

Excellent interview. It’s hard to understand the Kafkaesque nature of our injustice system, if you have not been a victim of it. I was a good father, who supported my kids, but my ex-wife simply exploited the anti-male court system In Virginia to steel my three toddlers away from my care. I was forced into being a visitor “uncle dad”, after having been a stay at home dad due to injury on the job. Despite having been a parents’ rights activist for several decades, my relations with my kids was destroyed and has not been repaired. I have grandchildren who I’ve never met, who will never, it seems, get to know this grandfather.

For years, I held demonstrations on the West Lawn of the U.S.Capitol. I have recorded hundreds of videos of other parents who were terrorized by CPS and/or family courts on www.youtube.com/markyoung12 and have tried to educate others and expose the family destruction industry on my website www.ExiledParents.org and in my music at www.markyoungguitar.com and https://on.soundcloud.com/YvEzeSFgwAxuVZFN7

All the gender confusion nonsense is about destruction of God’s Institution - the Family. It is the basis of our society. This is spiritual warfare that’s been going on for millennia. Satanic forces want to destroy this nation by destroying its foundation, the Family. And they want to depopulate the planet, which is what the last four years was about. Hi Mark, thank you for that. My heartfelt condolences for the loss of the relationship with your kids. That is something very close to my heart and trying to counteract. I’ll definitely check these links out. Enjoy the summer!

I was a little more fortunate with my three children, but only by luck. Like any man, once the wife decided to remove me my future was utterly in her hands and depended on how ruthless she would be, knowing that whatever she wanted the state would back.

This was in 1995, so my wife didn't have the last ten years of indoctrination that she had been "abused". Curiously, the psychobabble of the time was that women divorced men because they weren't having their "needs" met. ie. men had to be more affectionate, attentive, romantic, etc. Our (female) marriage councilor followed that line. Nowadays, women divorce men "to escape abuse".

Back in 1995 when she had decided to leave me we negotiated the future of the children, and I conceded to her that I knew I had to give her everything she wanted, because we both knew that if it went to court she'd win.

At one point in the discussions she blurted out "It's a shit time to be a man"... with a smirk!

That was 1995! "A shit time to be a man", according to a suburban housewife.

How much worse is it now, and every woman knows it. But they'll never admit it.

They tried to get me submit to her state-enforced dominance over me. No way. Not this Marine. I stood my ground and fought the good fight. It’s on her for screwing up my kids’ and grand kids’ lives.

A great guest. If you're not familiar with Baskerville's work, then you don't know what's happening in western societies today. His most recent book is an enlightening read, as are his two previous. Namely

The New Politics Of Sex and his prior work, Taken Into Custody: The War against Fathers, Marriage, and The Family.

If the monstrous Feminazi machine is ever scotched, then this man's work will have been instrumental.

Thank you, yes I obviously agree wholeheartedly. No one lays out an argument like Stephen Baskerville. I like that- the Feminazi Machine. Have a nice summer!
